The customer service ratings displayed on Powerswitch come from the latest Consumer NZ survey of energy provider satisfaction, published July 2011.
We surveyed members of consumer.org.nz during June 2011. We asked them about the overall performance of their energy provider, any problems they'd experienced and whether they had changed suppliers in the previous 12 months. Over 11,000 of our members took part in the survey.
If a provider is listed as "not rated" in Powerswitch, it means:
The survey results shown are the percentage of respondents who rated their energy provider's performance as "good" or "very good".

Guide to the tables
Supplier
Lists those for which we received more than 30 responses. The number of responses is shown in brackets. A = Contact has owned Rockgas since 2007.
Satisfied
Shows the percentage of respondents who rated the supplier’s performance as “good” or “very good”.
Average is the percentage of all respondents who rated their supplier’s performance as “good” or “very good”.
